The strength of the Beast Titan was a key factor in the success of the Scouts against Marley when the battle for Marley began.

Hero: Zeke yeager Takes a Dive at The Battle For Marley Tom Ksaver, who served as an ersatz dad figure, told him that if the rebellion was discovered, he would be indicted too. His parents rarely spent time with him, or showed him love. His actions brought an end to the Eldian rebellion and created hundreds of pure Titans who would attack Paradis.Īlthough his treachery was clearly evil, zeke Yeager isn’t to blame. Zeke would eventually betray his parents trust and sell them to the Marleyan government. Villain: Zeke sold his parents to the state

Zeke was a creditable man who tried his best to fulfill his father’s dream and free his people from the oppression they had endured for generations. This power would be used against the Marleyan state to liberate the Eldian people. His parents insisted that Zeke yeager become a soldier candidate and work hard to obtain the Beast Titan. Zeke Yeager was the son of Grisha Yeager and had high hopes for the future. The revelation lowered the military's guard enough for Zeke to slip a seemingly innocuous lie into his tale - that after inhaling the Beast Titan's spinal fluid, the villagers were "paralyzed." This is complete fabrication, but fools the likes of Commander Pyxis and Zachary into believing there'll be an early warning if Zeke ever tries to poison them. To gain the islanders' trust, Zeke admitted that a gaseous variant of his spinal fluid was used to turn the entire village of Ragako into Titans. Secondly - and this is Zeke's true master stroke - the Paradis military were misled about the Beast Titan's powers. Since they're not Eldian, these people can drink the wine without being affected by Zeke's cry. Firstly, most of Yelena's followers are either Marleyan or hail from countries Marley invaded in the past.

Spiking the wine, Zeke affords himself two major advantages. It's suggested (though never confirmed for sure) that Zeke can only perform this trick because of his secret royal blood, and a regular Eldian such as Colt would produce a lesser Beast Titan. Whether it's the Colossal Titan's explosions, or the War Hammer's detached nape, each Titan possesses unique abilities, and one of Zeke's is a sonic cry that turns anyone who ingested his spinal fluid into a Titan, as seen in the opening battle of Attack on Titan season 4. The wine's transformation properties derive from Titan powers specific to Zeke. Those whom Yelena believed had grown too close to the Paradis residents (such as Niccolo and Onyankopon) were not told about the true nature of the wine. so they could distribute the spiked wine without suspicion. On Zeke's behalf, Yelena then ensured her most loyal followers were given jobs in catering, restaurants, etc. Before shipping, however, these bottles had been laced with the spinal fluid of Zeke Yaeger. The Survey Corps didn't even know what coffee was before Marley came along. After Yelena brokered peace with Paradis on Zeke's behalf, she brought along a treasure trove of new foods and drinks from the outside world for Eldians to discover, one of which was an especially delicious wine reserved only for higher-ups. To understand Zeke Yaeger's plan in Attack on Titan, it's important to consider the limited resources on Paradis Island. Related: Attack On Titan: Why Mikasa Is Royalty (But Levi Isn't)
